Ethel Lenore Foust

From 1935 through 1944, Ethel Lenore Foust served as the Dean of Women as well as assistant professor of Bible and Religious Education. Foust also led a number of student groups, including the Young Women’s Association and a gospel team. In 1937, Emma Hyam, a missionary chapel speaker, specifically commended Foust in her praise of Taylor University. Hyam stated, “I have been impressed by Miss Foust. She is a great Bible teacher. She made what He had to say live. They tell me that is what she does always.”
