In “People: Our Future” I wanted to show how Taylor’s student population has been growing in number, but the individuals have remained the focus of our community. I designed the composition to allude to this growth by showing a graph-like structure with a rising line. The number shows and incoming class of 40 from the past and the current freshman class of 538. Nonetheless, this is not the focus of the piece. Most of the attention is drawn to the stylized, over-head view of humans. Taylor University is growing in number, but the focus is not on financial success but in bringing more people into the Taylor family. At Taylor there has always been a clear idea, “People: Our Future.”
