Angular Displacement Control of a Torsional Plant
A torsional plant is driven by a brushless DC/AC motor, which resembles the dynamics of a rotational system. The rotational system can be found in various applications such as home appliances, elevators, industrial robots, quadcopters, and so on. The accurate regulation of the angular displacement is required to acquire the desired performance. Advanced control method is developed to control the torsional plant despite the presences of system uncertainties and external disturbance. Simulation and hardware implementation results demonstrate the effectiveness of control system.
