Abstract
This paper covers the topic of the technological revolution and its impact on the rules of war. In this paper, the historical aspects of the rules are war are first discussed. Reaching back into its history, the developmental factors of laws governing conflict are brought to light stemming back from the American Civil War to the conflicts of the 20th century. Then, this paper dives into the popular topics within the technological revolution of drones, artificial intelligence, and cyber warfare. Finally, after discussing the history of the rules of war and the rising factors behind the technological revolution, the paper shares outlook of what the rules of war will look like, the potential changes which lie ahead, and the need for a stable bridge between law and science.
