Abstract

This paper examines the life of Jimmy Wheeler with particular focus on his involvement at Taylor University. It aims to examine archival resources such a school newspapers, yearbooks, and other artifacts from the time that Jimmy was a student at Taylor to paint a picture of his involvement and character. An effort is made to identify some cultural and educational events that set the tone for the cultural context that would have marked Jimmy’s time at Taylor. Finally the paper proceeds to characterize his impact and legacy at Taylor through his interaction with individuals and through his approach to death as a follower of Jesus Christ.
