The Mathematics Department seeks to develop students into scholars and professionals while they are still students at Taylor University. To that end, all students complete a large expository research project in MAT 392 Math Seminar, culminating in a paper as well as a recorded presentation. Many students also participate in original research projects that are published in journals of all levels. These projects have been funded by Taylor's Faculty-Mentored Undergraduate Scholarship program, the Women's Giving Circle, the Christian Scholars Foundation, the National Science Foundation, and other grantors.
