Abstract
Dr. Andrew Draper speaks on the impact of Taylor students on the community outside of Taylor for Local Church Week.
Dr. Andrew T. Draper is the founding senior pastor of Urban Light Community Church in Muncie, IN, a ministry committed to reconciliation and community development. Dr. Draper teaches theology in the Bible department here at Taylor and also directs the Honors Guild. Dr. Draper’s scholarly work has focused on theological race theory and his work as a practitioner on racial reconciliation. His first book, A Theology of Race and Place, is available on Amazon and he will be hosting a book release and signing party in the campus center on Friday, September 30. Dr. Draper lives with his family on the urban south-side of post-industrial Muncie. His wife, Leslie, is principal of Inspire Academy, an urban public charter school, and they have 2 boys who think Taylor is awesome: Aidan and Alister.
