The Lord has blessed my wife and I as we celebrated our 28th wedding anniversary this year. We met at Taylor as students in 1990 and have been together ever since. We have been blessed to adopt six of our nine children, including one we will be adopting next month who has been a foster child with us for over 10 years. We recently moved from Absecon, New Jersey, after living there for 24 years to come back to Taylor. Our children range in age from 24 to 2 years old and we feel proud as parents that they all love the Lord.

I have worked in a variety of settings: inpatient unit, adult partial care program, and outpatient setting. I worked for AtlantiCare Behavioral Health as a Director of the Atlantic City High School Based Youth Services program for the past twenty years. We assisted students with counseling and resources to help them navigate their high school experience. I have been in private practice with Family Empowerment Associates for sixteen years providing individual and family counseling services in-home and office setting. I served as a member of the Traumatic Loss Coalition which provided crisis counseling and destabilization to youth who had experienced the death of a peer. I had the privilege to serve on the Youth Minority Issues Committee addressing cultural biases and advocating for fair treatment of all people. I was certified as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in 2008 and served as a Disaster Response Crisis Counselor for over ten years. I specialize in the areas of ADD, ADHD, self-harm, suicidal ideation, anxiety, trauma, and depression. I recently became a certified Adverse Childhood Experience (ACE) trainer this summer and have been a Suicide Awareness Instructor for over fifteen years. I have been practicing for over twenty years working with children and families. I have conducted groups on anger management, grief, and bullying/cyber-bullying.

I am excited to be back at Taylor as the Director of the Counseling Center to be able to connect and support students and provide opportunities for them to feel cared for as they navigate through college, equipping them to serve the Lord wherever He places them."
