I am a Kenyan-born leader who is passionate about developing other leaders for Africa. I believe that it is Africa’s time and that the youth of Africa will change Africa’s story. I am the founder and CEO of Lapid Leaders Africa. Lapid Leaders Africa (LLA) is a values-driven leadership program that equips young adults to be the 21st century leaders and entrepreneurs that Africa needs.

Prior to this, I was the Head of Risk and Compliance at Guaranty Trust Bank (Kenya) Limited. I was one of the youngest Senior Managers in the Bank. I have also worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) Kenya and PWC UK.

I am passionate about development of people, processes and systems of organisations in Africa. I enjoy working with and developing entrepreneurial leaders. I also enjoy tackling problems in start-ups and complex environment and helping organizations build the systems and structures that can support their growth. I believe that the growth of any institution rests on a proper understanding of their key risks and implementation of a risk management framework that mitigates these risks. I believe that one of the bigger risk that businesses face today in our fast changing work is around human capital

and hence the need for intentional leadership development processes. I have led businesses in the Financial Services Sector locally and abroad, as well as SMEs to develop a comprehensive understanding of the business risks and develop appropriate processes to mitigate against these risks. I am actively involved in shaping the next generation of African Leaders. I run leadership development programs that focus on developing the youth and young professionals into transformational leaders in the marketplace.
