    Description

    The playbill for Taylor University’s Spring 1996 performance of The Hoosier Schoolmaster by Pauline Phelps adapted from the novel by Edward Eggleston.

    The Hoosier Schoolmaster tells the story of a man named Ralph Hartsook who travels to a rural town in Indiana as its new schoolmaster. Set after the Civil War, the story is know for its accurate and specific use of the rural Indiana dialect at the time.
