President Dr. Jared Gerig contributes his column, From The President's Pen. Dr. Jared Gerig is named as First Vice President of the National Association of Evangelicals. Dr. Herbert W. Byrne resigns to become Academic Dean at Huntington College. Gerald L. Ford, Executive Secretary of NAE is announced as commencement speaker; W. O. Klopfenstein is baccalaureate speaker. SMF donates money towards a VW minivan to assist Bill and Joyce Gerig as house parents at Rupp Memorial School in Sierra Leone. Crossroads switches to WFCJ-FM in Miamisberg, OH after WOWO announces the dropping of the program. Schultz Hall starts major reonovations. Joseph A. Zeller, long-time friend of the college, supplier of large baskets of second day baked goods to the college for years and saved the college thousands of dollars, and brother to Catherine who taught at Bethany Home and married J. E. Ramseyer, and also brother to Lillian who was an instructor in English, Dean of Women and Librarian of the college.
The Fort Wayne Bible College Vision was an official publication of the college mailed to donors, friends, churches, alumni and interested individuals.
